Update Academic Program
and Education Goal

Undecided/undeclared is not an eligible Major to receive financial aid.

As a financial aid recipient, you must be enrolled in an eligible course of study leading to one of the following:

• Transfer with AA/AS;

   

• Transfer without AA/AS;

   

• AA/AS without Transfer;

   

• Vocational Degree without Transfer; or

   

• Vocational Certificate of Achievement without Transfer.

How to update your Major and/or Educational Goal

1. Go to the Butte College Career and Academic Profile Tool.
2. Read the Career and Academic Profile Tool Instructions and clink on red button. 
3. Select your primary program of study which can be an AA/AS Degree; AA/AS Transfer Degree or a Certification of Achievement. Be aware that academic programs that are a Certificate of Completion (CC) are NOT eligible programs for Federal Student Aid.
4. Select your Education Goal; below is a list of acceptable Educational Goals. If you select anything other than the Educational Goal listed below it may not be eligible for Federal Student Aid.

• • Transfer with AA/AS;

  • Transfer without AA/AS;

  • AA/AS without Transfer;

  • Vocational Degree without Transfer; or

  • Vocational Certificate of Achievement without Transfer.

Please Note: Invalid Ed Goals are any that are not listed above.
